How we Started
Ethos emerged in 2023 to bridge the growing divide between traditional finance and the expanding digital asset landscape. Based in North Carolina's Research Triangle, we specialize in providing sophisticated investors access to blockchain opportunities through two distinct investment vehicles: high-growth digital assets and stable yield generation.

Experience
Our team brings together over fifteen years of collective blockchain expertise, led by founders David Yerger and Coburn Murray. Yerger's background includes pioneering work at BitGo and managing another digital asset fund focused on Bitcoin and Ethereum, while Murray brings extensive experience in alternative investments and real estate fund management.
Together with our operations team, we use deep industry connections and technical knowledge to navigate the cryptocurrency landscape.

OUR TEAM
David Yerger
Founder & Fund Manager
David Yerger entered the digital asset industry in 2015 with BitGo, a key player in the security & custody blockchain sector. By early 2016, David began sharing about Bitcoin and blockchain technology with family and friends. He was met with considerable interest in how to invest in this emerging asset class. This process led him to found Redwood Digital Group and Redwood Digital Fund as avenues to help investors more easily gain access to Bitcoin and other digital assets.
In 2023, he organized a new team built to harness the rapidly expanding decentralized finance infrastructure in the form of an innovative digital asset management company, Ethos.
Coburn Murray
Founder & Fund Manager
Coburn is an entrepreneur, visionary, and investor who has spent the last 10 years
building high performance teams, leading businesses, and managing alternative investments.
Coburn founded two real estate capital funds under the banner of his Raleigh-based Redeeming
Development Group. His first fund was a 36 month closed end collateralized debt fund. The second, RDG Cap Fund II, is an equity fund. His participation in the leadership of a Raleigh-based DeFi protocol broadened his understanding of the immense investment opportunity in blockchain technology.
Shapley Davis
Operations Manager
Shapley is an operational specialist with years of experience spanning industries from
entertainment and commercials to blockchain. He specializes in operations management and business development.
A longtime digital asset investor, Shapley began working in the blockchain sector in 2023. Shapley completed intensive training and hands-on education in the details of integral DeFi mechanics from Ethos Fund's managers as well as other Research Triangle-based blockchain experts. Afterwards, Shapley transitioned into his role as operations manager at Ethos Fund.

Our seasoned market analysis provides an edge to managing our positions. Ethos uses a global all-out or all-in signal that triggers every few years on average based on trend following math. If Ethos is all-out, we generate yield on stablecoins and evaluate re-entry opportunities.

Ethos uses mathematical signals to help determine short-term hedges, which protect against the steep downturns seen in the price of Bitcoin and other highly volatile digital assets.

With careful application, we utilize technology from innovative DeFi protocols to generate yields on Bitcoin and USDC, adding to our ability to generate returns in both bull and bear markets.
